Our unique curriculum is based around the simple idea that all children are smart and unique in their own way.
Kids 1st Daycare developmental guidelines form the basis of unique lesson plans that agree to life in fun and imaginative ways.
Enrichment programs that expose children to the skills necessary to support their active lives, to develop positive self-esteem and to set the foundation for a healthy lifestyle are also integrated into each day.

QUALITY ASSURANCE AT KIDS 1ST DAYCARE
The primary concern of Kids 1st Daycare is the health and well-being of the children in its care. Although every center is a licensing agency that oversees state requirements, at Kids 1st we are obligated to fulfill the quality assurance of every child.
Kids 1st Daycare quality assurance provides a foundation of rules set forth that includes:
-
A warm and nurturing atmosphere in a safe setting.
-
Respect for the individual needs of every child.
-
Open and daily communication with families.
-
A professional facility committed to early childhood development.
-
A learning environment with opportunities for creativity and exploration.
INFANT PROGRAM
In our infant room, we emphasize the development of warm, secure relationships between the caregivers and children. When this trusting relationship is established, the children are free to interact, explore and discover. Your baby's daily home routine will be respected as fully as possible by our staff. Each infant follows his or her own individual schedule for feedings and naps.
All areas of the infant's development are closely observed and recorded by our staff, so that the daily program addresses the individual needs of each child. Activities in our infant room include singing, finger plays, soft books, stacking toys, pushing toys, ball play, blowing bubbles, outdoor play, water play and much more. Projects and activities are carefully planned to help young children develop language, gross and fine motor, cognitive and socialization skills.
TODDLER PROGRAM
During this age toddlers master walking, running and other motor skills. They begin to enjoy painting, music and fine motor activities. Beginning friendships are established and language develops rapidly. They are experiencing toilet learning, eating with utensils and the beginning of independence.
We see many exciting changes during the toddler years. Our program offers an environment that provides security and encourages growth and exploration for active, growing toddlers.
Each day the toddlers will have outdoor play (weather permitting) and a variety of activities from which to choose, including art, puzzles, blocks, books, housekeeping, play dough, sand and water play, musical instruments, singing and much more!

OUR DAILY SCHEDULE Our daily schedule is very flexible to allow for unplanned events or other opportunities that may arise throughout the day. Some days we do not fit all this in....but we try!
We have a movie day once a week on Fridays. I choose the movie! We usually watch it after snack in the afternoon. Sometimes we will have a picnic on the toddler room floor with a large blanket and lots of pillows.....and we eat our snack while watching the movie. This is only done as a special reward "cause we had such a good day"!
We do go outside everyday to play in the backyard (weather permitting).
